🧩 Context
When launching the Companion 7 app for the first time (after downloading it from the PlayStore), if the required permissions—particularly microphone and nearby devices—are not granted immediately, the application will automatically close.
🛠️ Solution
Grant the necessary permissions from the device settings.
📱 Steps to Follow
- After downloading the Companion 7 app from the PlayStore, upon first launch, a window will appear requesting permission to detect nearby devices. Please tap "Allow".
- Similarly, after downloading the app, when you tap on the Communicate with patient icon for the first time, a window will appear requesting permission to record audio. Please tap "While using the app".

If these two permissions are granted, the Companion 7 app runs normally.
However, for various reasons, these permissions may not have been enabled, causing the app to close automatically when you launch it or try to communicate with the patient.
In this case, you can follow the steps below:
- Open the tablet’s settings.
- Go to the Apps menu.

- Select “Show all apps”.

- Search and select "Compagnon 7".

5.Tap on Permissions.

- Tap on Microphone – Nearby devices and select "Allow only while using the app" (or simply "Allow", depending on the Android version).

- The Companion 7 app can now be used normally!
